Written for
landing page copy prompt

The page that sounds most generated is often the one with the most superlatives and the least proof. This prompt makes the proof bank a required input. It also asks which question each section answers, so decorative sections have to earn their space.

For broader page planning, see the landing page copy prompt set. After publishing, run the free site audit to confirm the page can be read and indexed; good copy is hard to evaluate if the rendered page is incomplete.

The prompt 252 words
Rewrite a landing page so it helps one buyer make one decision. Do not
invent customer results, testimonials, scarcity, comparison claims or a
guarantee. Diagnose the current page before writing a new one.

Audience and the decision they face: [AUDIENCE AND DECISION]
Current page copy: [PASTE PAGE]
Exact offer and terms: [OFFER AND TERMS]
Verified proof, with sources and dates: [PROOF BANK]
Known limits or reasons to choose something else: [LIMITS]
Primary action and destination: [ONE CTA]

Step A. Map the page. For each section, write the reader question it answers.
Flag any section that answers no question, repeats another section, or makes
a claim absent from [PROOF BANK]. Give the most important unanswered buyer
question its own row.

Step B. Propose an order: clear offer, who it is for, the first useful proof,
what happens after the click, and the main limitation. Explain why that order
fits [AUDIENCE AND DECISION]. Keep one primary CTA. Do not turn every section
into a sales claim.

Step C. Draft concise copy for the hero, proof section, objection section and
CTA. Use only supplied facts. Mark any missing fact [NEED: ...]. Quote a
customer only if the exact approved quote is in [PROOF BANK]. State a limit
plainly if hiding it would lead the wrong buyer to convert.

Finish with a claim ledger and a list of page elements a human must check:
prices, eligibility, form destination, product screenshots, policy links and
mobile layout. Do not claim the rewrite will improve conversions without a
test.

What to change

Everything in square brackets is yours to replace. Nothing else needs editing.

[AUDIENCE AND DECISION]
Name one reader in one buying moment, not a broad demographic.
[PASTE PAGE]
Include the hero, sections, CTA labels and trust claims in the current order.
[OFFER AND TERMS]
State price, scope, eligibility and next step as currently approved.
[PROOF BANK]
Use verified examples, figures and approved quotes; include dates and sources.
[LIMITS]
List fit boundaries, prerequisites and things the offer does not solve.
[ONE CTA]
Choose the action and actual destination URL for the primary button.

How to run it

  1. 01
    Collect proof and terms

Verify the offer and assemble an approved proof bank before generating new copy.

  2. 02
    Approve the page map

Make sure the proposed section order reflects the buyer question rather than a generic landing page template.

  3. 03
    Check the live page

Review the rebuilt mobile page, CTA destination, claims and policy links. Measure a conversion change only after a proper test.

Questions people ask

Will this prompt improve my landing page conversion rate?

It can make the offer and evidence clearer, but only a measured test can show whether conversion improved for your traffic.

Why include a limitation on a sales page?

A clear fit boundary helps the right buyer decide and prevents a wrong buyer from converting on a promise the offer cannot keep.
