What this checks

Three measurements that almost no other tool runs. Answer extractability counts how many of your sections are bounded by a heading, how many open with a short direct answer rather than a windup, whether any headings are phrased as questions, and whether there are tables or lists to lift. Attribution looks for a named author, Person or Organization schema, and outbound links to primary sources. Readability scores sentence and word complexity, because dense prose is harder to quote as well as harder to read.

Why it matters

A model does not cite a URL because the page is good. It cites a passage because that passage answered the question on its own, without the paragraph above it. That is a structural property and it is measurable, which means it is fixable by editing rather than by guessing. Attribution matters for the same reason a person trusts a byline: a system deciding between two similar pages prefers the one with someone standing behind it and sources it can trace.

How to read a bad result

A low score usually means long unbroken prose under too few headings, with the answer arriving in the third paragraph. The fix is editing rather than writing: break the piece into sections with question shaped headings, put the direct answer in the first sentence under each one, add a table where you are comparing things, name the author, and link the sources you actually used. What is answer first writing?

Putting the direct answer in the first sentence under a heading, then the detail. It reads slightly blunt to a writer and it is exactly what an assistant lifts, because the passage stands alone without the context above it.

Does word count matter for AI citation?

Less than structure does. A tight 600 word page organised into answerable sections is quoted more readily than 3,000 words of unbroken prose. Depth is checked separately, because a page under 300 words rarely has enough to quote at all.

Why does a named author matter?

It is one of the signals a model has for deciding whether to trust and attribute a claim. An anonymous page with no schema and no sources is harder to stand behind, so it gets used less and credited less.
